How Realistic Are Caregivers' Expectations in Patients With Subacute Stroke?
Sponsor: Ankara Etlik City Hospital
Summary
This study aims to compare rehabilitation goals independently established by caregivers of patients with stroke and physiatrists, and to evaluate the extent to which these goals are achieved following rehabilitation. Goal attainment will be assessed using Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS), while functional independence and ambulatory function will be evaluated using the Barthel Index (BI) and Functional Ambulation Classification (FAC), respectively, at admission and discharge. The study is expected to provide insights into differences between caregiver and physiatrist expectations and contribute to more individualized and realistic goal setting in stroke rehabilitation.
