Effect of Resistance Exercises on Serum IGF-1 Levels in Knee Osteoarthritis
Sponsor: Sisli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital
Summary
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the effects of a resistance exercise program on serum Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) levels in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Specifically, it aims to investigate the relationship between changes in serum IGF-1 levels and clinical improvement after exercise therapy, and to evaluate the impact of the presence of osteoarthritis metabolic phenotype on this relationship. Participants will be asked to complete a structured resistance exercise program for 8 weeks. Researchers will compare the pre-exercise and post-exercise serum IGF-1 levels, clinical scores (WOMAC, VAS) and radiological findings (MOAKS Osteophyte Score) to determine the effectiveness of the intervention.
