Use of Measurement Instruments by Physiotherapists
Sponsor: Karabuk University
Summary
Measurement instruments in physiotherapy practice play a fundamental role in clinical decision-making, treatment planning, and the objective monitoring of treatment effectiveness. However, there is a lack of up-to-date and systematic data specific to Turkiye regarding how frequently and for what purposes physiotherapists use these instruments in clinical settings. Conducting this study is necessary to reveal current practices, identify measurement and evaluation habits, assess the extent to which evidence-based practice is reflected in clinical care, and contribute to the development of educational content and clinical standards. Furthermore, the findings will provide a scientific basis for planning strategies aimed at promoting patient-centered and objective assessment approaches.
