Myocardial Injury After Transurethral Resection
Sponsor: Haseki Training and Research Hospital
Summary
This prospective observational study aims to determine the incidence of myocardial injury after noncardiac surgery (MINS) in adult patients undergoing elective transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) or transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). High-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) levels are measured preoperatively, 1 hour after surgery, and 48 hours postoperatively. Demographic, clinical, anesthetic, and intraoperative variables are prospectively recorded to explore perioperative factors associated with the development of MINS. The primary outcome is the incidence of MINS within 48 hours after surgery.
