Sponsor: Ondokuz Mayıs University
Summary
This research aims to evaluate the impact of a cancer awareness education program (Cancer Awareness Programme Via Digital Health Literacy - DigiCAP), designed to enhance digital literacy and applied to stroke patients, on uncertainty, anticipatory anxiety, and cancer awareness. This study was designed as a randomized controlled, single-blind (evaluator-blind), pre-test-post-test experimental design. In the study, all individuals in the sample group were administered the Personal Information Form, the Mishel Illness Uncertainty Scale-Community Form (MIIS-T), the Beck Anxiety Scale (BAS), and the E-Health Literacy Scale as pre-test applications. The training program prepared for the experimental group will be presented. Final tests will be conducted at the end of the training. Individuals will be contacted by phone one month after the training for reminder purposes. Individuals are expected to participate in cancer screening within 3 months.

CANCER SCREENING PROGRAM
During home visits, written informed consent will be obtained, the study protocol will be explained, and pre-tests will be administered. Individuals who undergo the pre-test will be randomly assigned to experimental and control groups using a simple random sampling method. The experimental group will receive the planned training, and a training booklet will be provided at the end of the training. One month after the completion of the training, individuals will be visited again at their homes to remind them of their participation in the cancer screening program, and post-tests will be administered. Three months after the start of the study, statements will be obtained from the phone numbers on the patient list to determine whether the experimental group participated in cancer screenings.
