Comparing Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Muscle Energy Technique for Myofascial Pain Syndrome in Women
Sponsor: University of Lahore
Summary
This study compares Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and Muscle Energy Technique (MET) in female patients with myofascial pain syndrome. The study aims to evaluate the effects of both techniques on pain and related clinical outcomes to determine their effectiveness in managing the condition.

Interventions
Control Group (A):
Participants will receive the control intervention as specified in the study protocol.
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
Participants will receive Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), a physiotherapy technique used to address soft tissue restrictions and manage pain associated with myofascial pain syndrome.
Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
Participants will receive Muscle Energy Technique (MET), a manual therapy technique involving controlled muscle contractions to help improve muscle flexibility and reduce pain associated with myofascial pain syndrome.
