Strategic Thinking and Shaping the Future Training for Midwives' Self-Leadership and Self-Compassion
Sponsor: Istanbul Nisantasi University
Summary
Midwives work in emotionally demanding conditions that can increase the risk of burnout and compassion fatigue. This study tests whether a 21-day online live training program, "Strategic Thinking and Shaping the Future," changes midwives' self-leadership and self-compassion. The program includes seven 3-hour live sessions, assignments, and one individual feedback session. Trained midwives are compared with wait-list midwives, who receive the training after follow-up. Questionnaires are completed before the training, right after it, and about three months after baseline. A smaller group is also interviewed about their experience.

Strategic Thinking and Shaping the Future Training
A 21-day online live training program delivered by the same trainer using standard materials and the same program flow for all participants. It consists of seven 3-hour live sessions, assignments between sessions (self-discovery questions, personal mission and vision statements, goal setting, clarification of personal values and activities), and one individual feedback session of about one hour at the end of the program. Content covers the foundations of success, awareness of conscious and subconscious mental processes, designing an effective future and vision, decision-making, inner motivation and external drive, and individual goal setting.
