Continuous Noninvasive Multimodal Neuromonitoring at the ICU After Cardiac Arrest
Sponsor: Maastricht University Medical Center
Summary
The goal of this observational study is to investigate the relationship between non-invasive brain monitoring measurements and neurological recovery six months after cardiac arrest in patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). After admission to the ICU, patients who have had a cardiac arrest will undergo non-invasive brain monitoring. Six months later, their neurological outcome will be assessed using a telephone interview with the patient or their caregiver. Based on this assessment, patients will be classified as having either a good or poor neurological outcome. The study will then investigate whether the brain monitoring measurements can help distinguish between these two groups.
