Ankle Evertor and Invertor Strength Training

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a 12-week ankle evertor and invertor strength training program performed on a specially designed device, which allows isolated strengthening of evertor and invertor muscles. Outcome measures included isometric ankle torque, EMG activity of six tibial muscles, muscle coactivation, and kinematic parameters during three walking conditions. This trial was retrospectively registered. The study was conducted in 2017 as part of a doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Sport, University of Ljubljana, prior to the authors' awareness of prospective registration requirements.

Long-term Evaluation of Sports Activity in Patients Whose Ankle Was Treated by Anatomical Reconstruction or Arthroscopic Repair Following Chronic Lateral Instability

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare at 5 years the sporting activity of patients whose ankle had been treated by reconstruction or repair following chronic lateral instability. The main question it aims to answer is: What is the long-term sporting activity status of patients whose ankle had been treated by reconstruction or repair following chronic lateral instability ? Participants will visit the clinic once every year during 5 years for clinical checkup.

Different Pressure Tissue Flossing Combined With Exercise for Chronic Ankle Instability

This study will evaluate whether tissue flossing with different pressure levels, when combined with exercise training, improves ankle function in young adults with chronic ankle instability. Forty-eight participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: a control exercise group, a 150 mmHg tissue flossing plus exercise group, or a 200 mmHg tissue flossing plus exercise group. All groups will complete the same 6-week rehabilitation program, three times per week. Outcomes will be assessed at baseline and after the intervention, and long-term follow-up data will also be collected.

Acute Effect of Graded Motor Imagery on Ankle Rehabilitation: A Pilot Study

The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the immediate and short-term effects of the Graded Motor Imagery (GMI) method on individuals with chronic ankle instability (CAI). In this context, the effects of the Graded Motor Imagery intervention on pain level, muscle stiffness, muscle strength, functional performance, and subjective instability level will be investigated. Additionally, these effects will be comparatively analyzed with an age- and sex-matched control group consisting of healthy individuals.
