Yogic Eye Exercises for Computer Vision Syndrome in Female Design Students
Computer vision syndrome (CVS) is a cluster of eye and musculoskeletal complaints - dryness, redness, blurred vision, foreign body sensation, excessive tearing, and neck, shoulder or back pain - that arises from prolonged work at a digital display. It is common among university students, and optical, pharmacological and nutritional treatments have given inconsistent results. Yoga-based eye exercises have been proposed as a brief, inexpensive alternative that requires no equipment. This study tested whether a short, structured programme of yogic eye exercises reduces self-reported CVS symptoms in female undergraduates in a graphic design and digital media programme, a group whose coursework demands sustained, colour-critical near work at a screen. All 36 female students enrolled in the programme took part. Each attended one supervised training session and then performed a 13-minute sequence of relaxation exercises (slow blinking, gazing at a distant target, acupressure around the eyes) and strengthening exercises (eye rolling, nose-tip gazing) three days a week for four weeks, a total of 12 sessions, reporting completion of each session on the same day. Nine symptoms - five ocular and four musculoskeletal - were rated on a four-point scale (never, rarely, sometimes, always) at the start and again at the end of week 4. The main question was whether the average of all nine ratings fell over the four weeks. Every participant served as her own comparison; there was no control group and no masking.

Acceptability and Efficacy of Pain Reprocessing Therapy in Racially/ Ethnically Diverse Adults With Chronic Back Pain
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn which treatment works better for adults with chronic pain. This study is comparing three treatments: Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and usual care (whatever a person is already doing to cope with their pain). The study's main questions are: * Does PRT work well for adults with chronic pain? * Which treatment works better for lowering pain: PRT, CBT, or usual care? This study will compare PRT, CBT, and usual care to see which is most helpful for lowering pain and helping with other problems that people with chronic pain can have.

The Effect of Chiropractic Care on Opioid Use for Chronic Spinal Pain: A Feasibility Study
The investigators will conduct a pilot cluster randomized controlled trial (RCT) of chiropractic care added to usual medical care, versus usual medical care alone, for adult patients prescribed opioid therapy for chronic non-cancer spinal pain at four community health centers (CHCs) in Canada. These centers provide services to communities and vulnerable populations with high unemployment rates, multiple co-morbidities, and high rates of chronic musculoskeletal disorders that are commonly managed with prescription opioids. The investigators hypothesize that a full-scale (definitive) cluster RCT on the impact of chiropractic care on prescription opioid use for chronic non-cancer spinal pain will be feasible within the Canadian CHC context.

Use of Ultrasound Imaging in Confirming Osteopathic Spinal Diagnosis
In the field of Osteopathic Medicine, diagnosis of potential areas of dysfunction are diagnosed by the physician using their hands and expertise in noticing subtle differences in symmetry, tone, swelling etc.. In this study, we propose the use of ultrasound, which is a non invasive imaging technique that requires no radiation exposure, to confirm the diagnosis made with the physician's hands. We believe this will add a layer of objectivity to this diagnosis, in that you have numbers that have been measured to back up the diagnosis made based on feel. In this study, we can confirm whether or not these differences felt are true from an objective standpoint. We will compare patients with dysfunction palpated on manual exam to those with no palpated dysfunction in terms of their median asymmetry when measured using musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Effects of Thoracic Spine Manipulation With and Without Costovertebral Joint Manipulation in Patients Mid-back Pain
Mid-back pain (mbp) is defined as pain occurring within the limits of the third thoracic (T3) and ninth thoracic (T9) vertebrae, caused by the dysfunction of the musculoskeletal structures in the thoracic spine. It can present as pain and/or burning between the shoulder blades with reduced thoracic spine mobility and increased muscle tension. Congenital disorders such as scoliosis and Scheuermann's disease, or acquired disorders such as thoracic facet and costovertebral joint dysfunction may cause mid back pain.

YOga for Patients With Chronic BACK Pain and Poor PROgnosis
The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the effectiveness of yoga for patients with chronic low back pain and high risk of poor prognosis. The main question it aims to answer is: \- In patients with back pain and high risk of poor prognosis, what is the effectiveness of yoga plus education on reducing pain and disability compared to a control group receiving education alone? A total of 110 patients with chronic low back pain and classified as high risk of poor prognosis according to the Orebro Musculoskeletal Pain Screening Questionnaire (i.e. score ≥ 50 points out of 100) will be recruited for this study. Participants will be randomized into two groups: yoga and control. The yoga group will receive a 3-month course of yoga program consisting of two sessions per week and 3 educational classes. The control group will receive 3 educational classes over a 12-week period. Outcome measures will be assessed at baseline, at post-intervention (i.e. 3-months post randomization) and at 6-month follow up (i.e. 6-months post randomization).

Erector Spinae Plane Block Versus Trigger Point Injection for Chronic Thoracic Myofascial Pain
Chronic thoracic (mid-back) pain can be difficult to treat, and there is limited evidence to guide the use of injection therapies for pain arising from muscles and surrounding soft tissues. Two commonly used treatments are trigger point injections (TPI) and erector spinae plane (ESP) blocks, but no studies have directly compared their effectiveness for chronic thoracic myofascial pain. The purpose of this study is to compare pain relief, physical function, emotional well-being, patient satisfaction, and safety following treatment with either an ESP block or TPI. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two treatments. Researchers will follow participants for up to 12 weeks after the procedure and collect information through questionnaires and pain assessments.

Assess the Effectiveness of Pulse RadioFrequency in Patients With Chronic Lumbar Radicular Pain
Pulsed RadioFrequency (PRF) is a relatively new technique derived from a well established and proven intervention, thermal radiofrequency (RF). Both procedures are used in the treatment of chronic pain. Unlike RF treatment, PRF does no direct damage to the nerve. During PRF treatment, electrical energy is applied with a small needle to the affected nerve using a pulsed time cycle that delivers short bursts of RF current. This study is interested in looking at the efficacy of PRF for chronic lumbar radicular pain (CLR) and to assess whether a larger scale clinical study with the same methods can be used.

Workplace Exercise Therapy With or Without Manual Therapy in Chronic Spinal Pain
Implementing workplace strategies to manage symptoms in office workers with chronic nonspecific spinal pain (CNSP) may improve both health- and work-related outcomes, as adherence to these interventions is more feasible in this context. Exercise therapy is considered the first-line treatment for CNSP; however, the added value of combining exercise therapy with manual therapy remains inconclusive. This study aims to examine the effects of short sessions of exercise therapy plus manual therapy, compared with exercise therapy plus sham manual therapy, delivered in the workplace, on health- and work-related outcomes in office workers with CNSP.
