Alveolar Ridge Preservation (ARP) Study Using Alloplastic Biomaterial and a Resorbable Synthetic Membrane. A Digital Workflow (CBCT/Scanner) Evaluates Hard and Soft Tissue Volumetric Changes at 4 Months, Validating Support for the Gingival Phenotype and Buccal Bone Plate.

The dimensional collapse of the alveolar ridge following tooth extraction represents a critical challenge for implant rehabilitation. This research proposes an alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) protocol based on the combination of a slow-resorbing alloplastic synthetic biomaterial and a polymer-based resorbable synthetic membrane. Through a digital workflow integrating cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and intraoral scanning (Carestream 3800), volumetric changes in hard and soft tissues will be monitored. The study will compare baseline conditions with outcomes at 4 months of healing, analyzing whether the use of the membrane ensures adequate support for the gingival phenotype and minimizes buccal bone plate resorption.

Bone Augmentation Techniques in the Mandible Posterior Region

This study will compare three methods to rebuild lost bone in the back part of the lower jaw (posterior mandible) before dental implant placement. Seventy-eight adults will be randomly assigned to receive one of three "cortical shell" techniques using either the patient's own bone (autogenous) or prefabricated bone plates from animal (xenogeneic) or human donors (allogeneic). In all groups, the space inside the shell will be filled with a mixture of small bone chips and bone substitute material. The main outcome is the increase in jawbone width measured on 3D cone-beam CT scans at 6 months after surgery. Additional scans and clinical assessments up to 12 months will evaluate healing, bone stability, and postoperative recovery.

Bone Substitutes and NIPSA in Intrabony Periodontal Defects: A Randomized Controlled Trial

This multicenter randomized controlled clinical trial aims to compare the clinical, radiographic, microbiological and molecular outcomes of two collagenated xenogeneic bone substitutes (GTO® and GenOs®) used in combination with the Non-Incised Papilla Surgical Approach (NIPSA) for the treatment of intrabony periodontal defects. The study will evaluate whether differences exist between the two biomaterials with respect to clinical attachment gain, defect resolution, wound healing and biological markers of regeneration.

Hard and Soft Tissue Changes Following Immediate Implant Placement With Buccal Gap Management: Comparing the Use of Deproteinized Bovine Bone Mineral Socket Grafting and Sub-epithelial Connective Tissue Graft in a 6-month Pilot Study.

This study aims to assess hard and soft tissue changes after immediate implant placement, comparing the use of a deproteinized bovine bone mineral and sub-epithelial connective tissue graft in the management of the buccal gap. This study involves clinical and radiographic evaluation to assess tissue changes following immediate implant placement. Preoperative procedures include a clinical diagnosis, clinical measurements, intraoral scanning, and CBCT analysis. After flap elevation, atraumatic extraction is performed followed by immediate implant placement. Buccal gap management is done using either a deproteinized bovine bone mineral or a connective tissue graft (placed on the flap). Postoperative assessments, including intraoral scans and CBCT imaging, are conducted at six months. To evaluate hard and soft tissue changes, the scans and CBCTs are superimposed using a digital software to quantify differences and statistical analysis is then performed

Adjunctive Use of Polynucleotide and Hyaluronic Acid-based Gel in Alveolar Preservation After Tooth Extraction

Alveolar ridge resorption after tooth extraction is a physiological process that continues throughout the patient's life due to the loss of the periodontal ligament and lack of mechanical stimulation. Alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) techniques aim to minimize dimensional changes in the ridge after tooth extraction. These techniques involve grafting the socket to fill the bed and/or sealing it with a biomaterial. Currently, there is a polynucleotide and hyaluronic acid-based gel (Regenfast®) on the market that has proven useful in treating residual periodontal defects. Hyaluronic acid-based gels also appear to enhance the regenerative potential of critical bone defects in both in-vitro studies on rats and clinical studies. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the clinical and histological effects of polynucleotide and hyaluronic acid-based gel in alveolar preservation procedures.
