Assessing the Reliability of Smooth Pursuit Across Various Neck Postures Using a Custom Ocular Motor Detection System
Phase 1:System Development and Validation A custom-made eye movement detection system was developed to quantify smooth pursuit eye movements under multiplanar neck postures. The initial study established the reliability and measurement consistency of ocular motor parameters, including Gain, SPNTD, Accuracy, and Latency, in healthy individuals. The findings demonstrated acceptable-to-excellent reliability and confirmed the feasibility of assessing ocular motor performance across multiple cervical planes. Phase 2:Clinical Application in Mechanical Neck Pain Based on the validated system developed in Phase 1, the present study investigates multidimensional oculomotor and cervical sensorimotor function in individuals with upper mechanical neck pain (MNP). By comparing MNP patients with asymptomatic controls, the study aims to identify sensitive oculomotor biomarkers associated with cervical sensorimotor dysfunction and to explore whether multi-axis ocular motor assessment provides additional clinical information beyond conventional cervical proprioception and range-of-motion measures.

Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides With and Without Facilitated Positional Release Technique in Cervicogenic Dizziness
Cervicogenic Dizziness is characterized by non-rotatory dizziness and a sense of disequilibrium associated with neck pain, stiffness, and decreased range of motion. It arises from the abnormal afferent inputs from the upper cervical spine. Patients may experience lightheadedness and neck pain triggered by neck movements, leading to functional limitations. The present study aims to compare the effects of sustained natural apophyseal glides only and in combination with the facilitated positional release technique on pain intensity, severity of dizziness, range of motion, and functional status among patients with cervicogenic dizziness

Impact of Local Lidocaine Paravertebral Cervical Injection on Cervicogenic Dizziness Symptoms
at least 42 patients affected by cervicogenic dizziness will be allocated to the experimental group or in the placebo group. in the first group patients will received 2 paravertebral intramuscular injection of lidocaine 0.5% while in the placebo group they will received saline solution with the same injection technique. patients will be evaluated by subjective and objective testing before the treatment, immediatly and 3 months after the treatment.
