Effect of Hemostatic Agents on TheraCal PT Pulpotomy Success in Primary Molars

Dental caries in primary teeth can sometimes lead to inflammation of the dental pulp, the soft tissue inside the tooth. When the pulp remains capable of healing, pulpotomy may be performed to preserve the tooth until its natural exfoliation. During this procedure, bleeding from the remaining pulp tissue must be controlled before a pulp dressing material is placed. This randomized controlled clinical trial aims to compare the clinical and radiographic success of TheraCal PT pulpotomy in primary molars when three different solutions are used to control bleeding: 2.5% sodium hypochlorite, 15% ferric sulfate, and normal saline. Children aged 4-6 years who have primary molars diagnosed with reversible pulpitis and meet the study's eligibility criteria will be enrolled. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups according to the hemostatic solution used during the pulpotomy procedure. TheraCal PT will be used as the pulpotomy material in all three groups. The treated teeth will be evaluated clinically at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months and radiographically at baseline, 6 months, and 12 months. The researchers will compare the outcomes among the three groups to determine whether the choice of hemostatic solution affects the success of TheraCal PT pulpotomy in primary molars. The findings may help improve understanding of the role of different hemostatic solutions in pulpotomy treatment for primary teeth.

Direct Pulp Capping With Biodentine in Permanent Teeth With Reversible Pulpitis

This study evaluates the clinical and radiographic outcomes of direct pulp capping using Biodentine (Septodont, Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, France), a calcium silicate-based cement, in mature permanent teeth diagnosed with reversible pulpitis following carious or mechanical pulp exposure. Biodentine was placed as a full-thickness (bulk) capping and interim restoration, with a definitive composite restoration completed at a later visit. Pulp vitality, postoperative pain, and radiographic healing are assessed over a 6-month follow-up period.

Diode Laser-Assisted Direct Pulp Capping Trial

This randomized controlled clinical trial evaluates whether adjunctive 808-nm diode laser therapy after direct pulp capping reduces postoperative pain and dentin hypersensitivity compared with conventional Biodentine treatment. Sixty teeth from fifty-six participants with carious pulp exposure were randomly allocated into two treatment groups. Postoperative pain, dentin hypersensitivity, and 6-month clinical success rates were assessed.

Comparative Evaluation of Clinical and Radiographic Outcomes of Mustard Gel (Brassica Nigra) and Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) as Pulpotomy Agents in Deciduous Molars- A Randomized Controlled Trial

The aim of this clinical trial is to compare two materials to treat baby molars with deep cavities. When the cavity is very deep and reaches the nerve of a baby tooth, dentist perform a treatment called "Pulpotomy". This means removing the damaged part of the nerve and placing medicament on healthy part to help tooth heal and stay pain-free until it falls out naturally. The standard medicine used today is Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) for treating baby molars that have deep cavities. It works well but is expensive and can darken the tooth. The study is testing a new medicine called Mustard Gel , made from black mustard seeds and may help heal the tooth. Mustard has natural healing and germ-fighting properties. This trial will help to compare Mustard Gel with MTA to see if the agent works to treat pulpitis. Children aged 6-8 years who need a pulpotomy procedure on a baby molar will be selected. During this procedure, infected part of the pulp tissue will be removed and medicament will be placed over the remaining healthy pulp. Selected participants will be put into one of the two groups by chance: 1. Mustard Gel Group : tooth will be treated with mustard gel after nerve removal 2. MTA Group : tooth will be treated with MTA, the current standard material. All the teeth will be sealed with a permanent filling material.Participants will be treated with both drugs and monitored after about 1 week, 1 month and 3 months to see if the tooth is pain-free and looks healthy on X-ray. The study will help check if Mustard gel is safe and if it causes any side effects.
