The Effect of 16-week Dietary Intake of Food Supplements Containing Collagen and MSM on Facial Erythema and Other Skin Parameters

The aim of this study is to compare the effects of 16 weeks of daily dietary supplementation with two investigational products containing collagen, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), and vitamin C on skin parameters in comparison to a placebo product. The study will be conducted in healthy women aged 40 to 65 years with visible facial erythema and telangiectasiae (cheeks), stable for ≥3 months, without active rosacea. The primary objective is to demonstrate beneficial effects of the investigational products on facial erythema. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the effect on facial erythema after 8 weeks and the effects on telangiectasiae severity and other redness-related skin parameters. Other skin parameters will be assessed as supportive endpoints, and differences between the two investigational formulations will also be explored.

Mangosteen Gel for Sunburn-Like Skin Redness Caused by Ultraviolet B Light

The goal of this clinical trial was to learn whether a gel made from mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) fruit rind helps sunburn-like skin redness fade faster when it is applied after the redness has already appeared. The trial was conducted in healthy adult women with Fitzpatrick skin phototypes IV-V. The main questions it aimed to answer were: * Does mangosteen pericarp extract gel reduce skin redness (measured as the chromameter a\* value) more than a placebo gel between Day 1 and Day 3? * Which concentration of the gel (2.5%, 5%, or 10%) works best, and is the gel well tolerated? Researchers compared three concentrations of mangosteen gel with a placebo gel and with untreated skin, all on the same person's back. Participants: * Had six small test areas marked on the upper back * Had five of these areas exposed to a measured dose of narrowband ultraviolet B light to cause mild redness, while one area was shielded * Had the assigned gels applied twice daily on Days 1 and 2, starting 24 hours after light exposure * Had skin color measured with a chromameter on Day 1 and Day 3, and were checked for skin reactions at each visit

Carboplatin and Paclitaxel With or Without Panitumumab in Treating Patients With Invasive Triple Negative Breast Cancer

This randomized phase II trial studies how well carboplatin and paclitaxel with or without panitumumab work in treating patients with invasive triple negative breast cancer. Drugs used in the chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping the them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as panitumumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving carboplatin and paclitaxel with or without panitumumab before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed.

Clinical Efficacy and Safety of MB LuxuryⓇ Product Containing Epigallocathecin Gallate (EGCG) on Erythema, Melanin, and Skin Hydration

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of MB Luxury skincare containing the active ingredient Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) from green tea (Camellia sinensis L.) on skin melanin index, erythema index, and skin moisture levels over 84 days of use. This is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A total of 300 respondents were assigned to the intervention group (using MB Luxury twice daily for 84 days) and 50 respondents were assigned to the control group (receiving no product during the same period). Study details include: * Study Duration: 84 days (12 weeks) * Treatment Duration: 84 days * Visit Frequency: Measurements were taken at baseline (Day 0) and at weekly intervals (Day 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, and 84) for the intervention group. For the control group, measurements were taken at baseline and Day 84. * Health Measurements: Melanin and erythema indices were measured using Mexameter® MX 18, and skin moisture was measured using Corneometer® CM 825. The study aims to answer the following research questions: 1. Does MB Luxury significantly reduce melanin index after 84 days of use? 2. Does MB Luxury significantly reduce erythema index after 84 days of use? 3. Does MB Luxury significantly improve skin moisture after 84 days of use? 4. How do the changes in the intervention group compare to the control group? MB Luxury is not available through an expanded access program.

Pembrolizumab in Treating Patients With Stage IV Metastatic or Recurrent Inflammatory Breast Cancer or Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Who Have Achieved Clinical Response or Stable Disease to Prior Chemotherapy

This phase II trial studies how well pembrolizumab works in treating patients with stage IV inflammatory breast cancer or triple-negative breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic) or has come back (recurrent), and who have achieved clinical response or stable disease to prior chemotherapy. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.

Efficacy of 0.5% Topical Timolol Eye Drops in the Treatment of Post-Inflammatory Erythema Following Acne Vulgaris

Post-inflammatory erythema (PIE) is a common sequela of acne vulgaris, characterized by persistent erythematous macules resulting from superficial vascular dilation. Current treatment options include energy-based devices such as intense pulsed light (IPL); however, these modalities may be costly and require specialized equipment. Timolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker, has demonstrated vasoconstrictive properties and has been used off-label in dermatology for vascular-related conditions. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of topical 0.5% timolol ophthalmic solution in improving post-inflammatory erythema secondary to acne vulgaris and to compare its clinical outcomes with those achieved by intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy. This prospective comparative study will assess changes in erythema severity using standardized clinical evaluation and objective measurement tools over a defined treatment period. The findings may provide evidence for a cost-effective and accessible therapeutic alternative for managing post-acne erythema.
