NCT07892781

Effect of a 12-Week Aerobic Exercise Program on Cardiac, Respiratory, Metabolic Health and Functional Fitness in Healthy Young Adults

This randomized controlled trial evaluated the effects of a structured 12-week multicomponent exercise program with an aerobic emphasis on cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, and functional fitness outcomes in healthy sedentary young adults aged 18-30 years. Seventy participants were randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to an exercise group or a control group. The exercise group participated in supervised exercise sessions three times per week for 12 weeks, while the control group continued their usual lifestyle. Outcomes were assessed at baseline and after 12 weeks and included resting heart rate, blood pressure, body mass index, basal metabolic rate, pulmonary function, six-minute walk distance, Cooper 12-minute run performance, agility, and flexibility.

Effects of Controlled Breathing Added to Therapeutic Exercise in Multiple Myeloma

A randomized, parallel, double-blind, controlled, multicenter clinical trial with two intervention arms. Two groups of participants will be included, both receiving a therapeutic exercise intervention and an educational session on the importance of proper breathing over a 6-week period. One of the groups will additionally perform a home-based controlled breathing exercise protocol. Pre- and post-intervention assessments (6 weeks) will be conducted, along with a follow-up evaluation 4 weeks after completion of the intervention. The goal is to determine the effectiveness of adding a controlled breathing exercise program to a therapeutic exercise intervention on somatic symptoms in individuals with multiple myeloma
