Fractional Radiofrequency With Streroids Versus Fractional CO2 Laser With Steroids in the Treatment of Keloids

Keloids are harmless, raised scars that develop when the body produces too much scar tissue after an injury, surgery, or other skin damage. They may grow beyond the original wound, become firm, red or purple, and cause itching. Treatment options include silicone dressings, pressure therapy, steroid injections, surgery, freezing, laser therapy, radiation, and other medicines. Steroid injections, especially triamcinolone, can soften and reduce the size and thickness of keloids. Radiofrequency microneedling is another treatment that uses very fine needles and controlled energy to create tiny channels in the skin. This may reduce keloid tissue, encourage healthier healing, and help steroid medication reach deeper into the scar

Keloid Pathogenesis And Fibroblast Activation Study

Keloids are benign fibroproliferative skin disorders characterized by excessive fibroblast activation and extracellular matrix deposition. The molecular mechanisms underlying keloid formation remain incompletely understood. This prospective observational study aims to investigate the biological characteristics of keloid tissue by comparing surgically resected keloid specimens with adjacent normal skin obtained from the same patients. Histological and molecular analyses, including histopathology, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Western blotting, and related laboratory assays, will be performed to identify signaling pathways and key regulatory factors associated with fibroblast activation. The findings may improve the understanding of keloid pathogenesis and identify potential therapeutic targets for future treatment.

Scar Gel Product Family Clinical Investigation

The purpose of this PMCF investigation is to determine whether there are differences between the two formulations (Dermatix and Dermatix Ultra) in improving keloid and hypertrophic scars clinical symptoms and in the overall scar perception (including scar appearance and treatment perception). This PMCF investigation has been designed to address the conclusions of the latest CER \[PDPROJ-4-CE-R\] and the objectives. It has been chosen as an appropriate activity as it enables the collection of device-specific data on both device formulations and on the entire intended population. Moreover, the design of the PMCF investigation (single-center, parallel, open-label, two-arm, randomized controlled study) enables the direct comparison of the clinical performance/benefit between the two formulations.

Comparison Of Effectiveness Of Intralesional Injectioms Of 5 Flourouracil Alone Verses Its Cpmbination With Cryotherapy In The Treatment Of Keloids

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn how well intralesional 5 fluorouracil with cryotherapy works to treat keloids as compared to intralesional 5 fluorouracil alone on keloids. It will also learn about the safety of both these treatments. The main questions it aims to answer are: * What well does cryotherapy followed by intralesional 5 fluorouracil (5FU) work to treat keloids as compared to 5 fluorouracil (5FU) alone? * What is participant's satisfaction when treated with cryotherapy followed by intralesional 5 fluorouracil (5FU) as compared to 5 fluorouracil (5FU) alone? * What skin problems do participants have when treated with cryotherapy followed by intralesional 5 fluorouracil (5FU) and 5 fluorouracil (5FU) alone? Researchers will compare cryotherapy followed by intralesional 5 fluorouracil (5FU) with 5 fluorouracil (5FU) alone to see how well both work. Participants will be divided into two groups: For Group A: Cryotherapy will be done at lesion site followed by intralesional 5FU every 3 weekly. For Group B: Intralesional 5FU will be given at lesion site every 3 weekly. Keloids will be assessed at the start of trial and then after 12 weeks of treatment.

A Prospective Observational Clinical Study on Exploring the Value of Surgical Excision Combined With 32P Application in the Treatment of Keloids and the Factors Affecting the Prognosis of Combined Therapy

Keloids are non-cancerous (benign) growths on the skin. They form after an injury, when the skin makes too much connective tissue that thickens and hardens. These keloids cause big problems for people. They grow uncontrollably on their own, itch, hurt, and look bad. This is especially true if they're on visible areas like the head or neck-they harm both a person's physical comfort and mental well-being. 32P application is a popular treatment for keloids. It's simple, easy to use, quick, and doesn't have many limits on where or when it can be used. Besides keloids, it also works for surface skin issues like hemangiomas. Here's how 32P works: When it breaks down (decays), it releases beta rays. These rays create a local effect that changes the shape and function of the affected tissue. Blood vessel cells in the area swell, get inflamed, and shrink, eventually blocking the blood vessels. Beta rays also stop two key things from growing too much: fibroblasts (cells that make connective tissue) and new blood vessels. This is how the treatment works-with very low chances of the keloid coming back and few side effects. For these reasons, we think combining surgery with 32P application is an effective way to treat keloids. Its success rate is similar to, or even better than, surgery combined with low-dose radiation. Also, two factors matter a lot for how well the treatment works long-term: when 32P application is started, and the dose used.

Bevacizumab Versus Triamcinolone Acetonide for the Treatment of Keloids.

The study compares the efficacy and safety of intralesional bevacizumab versus corticosteroids for the treatment of keloids. Assessment will be done clinically by the use of Modified Vancouver Scar Scale. Erythema index will be measured by spectrophotometry. The levels of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, collagen type 1 and collagen type 3 in the lesions before and after each treatment modality.
