Studying Melatonin and Recovery in Teens
The goal of this feasibility clinical trial is to learn if melatonin can help teens having major musculoskeletal surgery by promoting healthy sleep. Melatonin is available as a dietary supplement that may be effective in promoting longer, higher quality sleep. This study will assess the feasibility and acceptability of melatonin for teens undergoing major musculoskeletal surgery, as well as determine optimal measured outcomes (sleep, pain, health-related quality of life) at short- and long-term follow-up.

Digital Health Psychosocial Intervention for Adolescent Spine Surgery Preparation and Recovery
This is a randomized controlled trial to test effectiveness of the SurgeryPal intervention vs. education control to improve acute and chronic pain and health outcomes in youth undergoing major musculoskeletal surgery. Youth will be randomized on an individual level using a factorial design to SurgeryPal or Education during 2 phases of intervention: 1) pre-operative phase (4 week duration delivered over the 4 weeks leading up to surgery), and 2) post-operative phase (4 week duration following surgery). Thus there will be 4 treatment arms. Participants will undergo 4 assessments, independent of their treatment assignment: T1: Baseline (pre-randomization); T2: acute post-surgery outcomes (daily assessment of acute outcomes beginning day 1 through day 14 after hospital discharge from surgery); T3: Post-surgery follow-up (assessment of outcomes at 3-months post-surgery); T4: Final post-surgery follow-up (assessment of outcomes at 6-months post-surgery).

Comparison of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation and Patient Education in Upper Crossed Syndrome
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of exercises applied using the Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) technique on pain, joint range of motion, muscle strength, and posture in individuals with Upper Crossed Syndrome, and to compare these effects with patient education. Individuals diagnosed with Upper Crossed Syndrome will be included in the study and allocated into two groups: a PNF-based exercise combined with patient education group and a patient education-only group. In the PNF group, Stabilizing Reversals for scapular anterior elevation-posterior depression and Replication techniques for posterior depression will be applied. In the patient education group, education including postural awareness and exercise will be provided. Assessments will be conducted at two time points, before and after the intervention. Pain level, joint range of motion, muscle strength and endurance, and postural parameters will be analyzed. This study is expected to provide evidence regarding the clinical effectiveness of PNF approaches targeting scapular control in individuals with Upper Crossed Syndrome and to contribute to the management of postural disorders in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Combined With Spiral Muscle Chain Training for Adolescent Spinal Curvature Abnormalities
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) combined with spiral muscle chain training in improving spinal function and posture in adolescents aged 13 to 18 years with spinal curvature abnormalities. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does exercise-based intervention improve trunk inclination angle, kyphotic angle, and body balance parameters in adolescents with spinal curvature abnormalities? Researchers will compare a PNF therapy group, a spiral muscle chain training group, and a combined PNF plus spiral muscle chain training group to assess differences in trunk inclination angle, kyphotic angle, and spinal mobility outcomes. Body mass index, fat-to-muscle ratio, and other body-composition-related indicators will be analyzed as exploratory post hoc outcomes. Participants will: Be assigned to one of three intervention groups: PNF therapy alone, spiral muscle chain training alone, or combined PNF plus spiral muscle chain training. Participate in supervised exercise training sessions three times per week for 12 weeks. Undergo pre- and post-intervention assessments, including body composition testing, and electronic spinal measurements. the Tone and Viscoelastic Properties of Back Muscles in Thoracic Kyphosis
The thoracic curvature of the spinal column occurs in the sagittal plane. While the normal thoracic kyphosis angle of the spine is 20-40°, an angle of 45-50° is referred to as postural kyphosis, increased kyphosis, or hyperkyphosis. The strength of the central and deep back muscles of the trunk controls spinal stability and intervertebral movements in dynamic situations. This ensures that thoracic curvature is maintained within normal physiological limits. Increased kyphosis can result from poor postural habits, prolonged computer use, trunk asymmetry, and muscle weakness. Studies have reported an increase in thoracic kyphosis, postural deviations in the trunk, and changes in shoulder and head positions as a result of weakening of the back muscles. Corrective exercise programmes aimed at strengthening the back muscles are frequently used in the treatment of thoracic kyphosis. The effects of exercise programmes on muscle strength, endurance, and kyphosis angle have been investigated. However, there are few studies examining the effects of corrective exercise programmes on muscle tone and viscoelastic properties in the back muscles. In our study, we aim to investigate the effects of an 8-week corrective exercise programme on the tone and viscoelastic properties of the back muscles in individuals with thoracic kyphosis and to propose its inclusion as a contemporary approach in clinical treatment protocols.

Study of Spino-pelvic Sagittal Balance by Vicon® Optoelectronic System
Spinal diseases often induce gait disorders with multifactorial origins such as lumbar pain, radicular pain, neurologic complications, or spinal deformities. However, radiography does not permit an analysis of spinal dynamics; therefore, sagittal balance dynamics during gait remain largely unexplored. This prospective and controlled study try to assess the Vicon system for detecting sagittal spinopelvic imbalance and to determine the modification induced by ant induced anterior sagittal imbalance on the kinetics walking parameters

The Effect of Three-Dimensional Exercises ( Schroth Method ) on Trunk Muscle Endurance, Sleep Quality, and Quality of Life in Adolescents With Hyperkyphosis
Adolescence is a critical period for spinal growth, and progression of thoracic hyperkyphosis may lead to pain, weak trunk muscles, sleep disturbances, and reduced quality of life. This study aims to investigate the effects of three-dimensional exercise program based on the Schroth Method on trunk muscle endurance, thoracic kyphosis angle, pain, sleep quality and quality of life in adolescents aged 12-18 years with hyperkyphosis.

DNS vs Thoracic Stabilization Exercises in Thoracic Kyphosis
This randomized controlled trial aims to compare the effects of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) exercises and thoracic stabilization exercises on thoracic erector spinae muscle strength, thoracic kyphosis angle, pain and trunk stabilization in individuals with thoracic kyphosis. Thirty participants aged 18-40 years with thoracic kyphosis will be randomly allocated to a DNS exercise group or a thoracic stabilization exercise group. Surface EMG biofeedback will be used to assess thoracic erector spinae muscle activation, while pain, thoracic kyphosis angle and trunk endurance will be evaluated using validated clinical tests. The interventions will be applied for 6 weeks, and outcomes will be assessed before and after the intervention period.
