Early Detection and Kinetics of Sepsis-Induced Coagulopathy in Severe Burn Patients
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of an avatar-supported, teacher-student interactive, vodcast-based peer bullying prevention program-developed for adolescents-on students' ability to identify peer bullying, their experiences with bullying, fighting, and victimization, and their levels of empathy.
Designed as a non-randomized controlled study (quasi-experimental), this research will be conducted between October 2026 and December 2026 with students attending two public middle schools under the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Nevşehir. Based on an analysis using the G\*Power (v3.1.9.7) software-with parameters set at an effect size of 0.5, a significance level of 0.05, and a test power of 0.80-the sample size has been determined to be 128 students in total, with 64 students in each of the experimental and control groups. Data will be collected using the "Student Demographic Information Form," the "Peer Bullying Identification Scale (Adolescent Form)," the "Illinois Bullying, Fighting, and Victimization Scale," and the "Empathy Scale for Children," all of which will be prepared by the researcher. During the intervention phase, the experimental group will watch five avatar-supported, teacher-student interactive vodcasts (educational video content), while the control group will receive no intervention. Data analysis will involve the Independent Samples t-test, as well as the Pearson Chi-square and Fisher's Exact tests for categorical data. A Mixed-Design Analysis of Variance (Mixed ANOVA) will be used to compare variables across follow-up time points, and the Bonferroni correction will be applied when comparing main effects. A p-value of \<0.05 will be considered statistically significant; ethical principles will be strictly upheld throughout the study, with a focus on obtaining parental consent and ensuring the voluntary participation of students.
