Chlorhexidine Gel After Third Molar Surgery

This study evaluates whether placing 0.2% chlorhexidine gel into the tooth socket after lower wisdom tooth surgery improves gum healing, reduces bacteria on surgical stitches, and decreases postoperative pain, swelling, and difficulty opening the mouth. Participants require surgical removal of both lower wisdom teeth. Each participant receives both treatments in separate operations at least four weeks apart. One side is randomly assigned to receive 1 mL of chlorhexidine gel before the wound is stitched closed. The other side receives no gel and serves as the comparison. Both sides receive the same standard postoperative care. Pain and self-reported swelling are assessed on days 1, 3, and 7 after each operation. Facial swelling, mouth opening, and gum healing are assessed on days 3 and 7. A small sample of the surgical stitch is collected on day 7 to measure bacterial growth. Participants are also monitored for dry socket during the seven-day follow-up period.

Soft Tissue Healing and Bacterial Load With Triclosan-Coated Sutures After Impacted Mandibular Third Molar Surgery

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if triclosan-coated absorbable stitches (polyglactin 910 sutures coated with triclosan, an antibacterial agent) help soft tissue heal better and have fewer bacteria stuck to the stitches after lower impacted wisdom tooth surgery in adults aged 18 to 35 years. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does triclosan-coated polyglactin 910 suture lead to better soft-tissue wound healing than non-coated polyglactin 910 suture on postoperative days 3, 5, and 7 after mandibular impacted third molar surgery? 2. Does triclosan-coated polyglactin 910 suture result in a lower oral bacterial load adhered to the suture material than non-coated polyglactin 910 suture on postoperative days 3, 5, and 7 after mandibular impacted third molar surgery? Participants will: * Have surgery to remove two similar lower impacted wisdom teeth (one on each side) * Receive triclosan-coated stitches on one side and standard stitches on the other side, with the side assignment chosen at random * Return for follow-up visits on day three, day five, and day seven after surgery for healing checks, simple ratings of pain and swelling, and collection of a small stitch sample for bacterial testing.

Accuracy and Healing Outcomes of Endodontic Surgery Using a Static Surgical Guide.

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the surgical accuracy and healing outcomes of endodontic surgery performed with the assistance of a 3D-printed static surgical guide in patients requiring apicoectomy. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What is the level of positional and angular accuracy of the actual root-end resection compared to the virtual planning when utilizing a static surgical guide? 2. What are the postoperative pain and swelling levels reported by patients at 1, 3, and 7 days after undergoing guided endodontic surgery? 3. What are the clinical success rates and CBCT-based radiographic healing outcomes at 6 months postoperatively? Participants will: * Undergo a preoperative digital workflow combining CBCT data and intraoral surface scans to design a customized static surgical guide. * Undergo targeted endodontic surgery where a 4.5-mm trephine bur is guided through the static template to perform the osteotomy and a 3-mm root-end resection in a single step. * Receive retrograde root-end cavity preparation via ultrasonic tips and root-end filling using calcium aluminosilicate bioceramic paste (Well-Root PT). * Complete self-evaluation forms regarding pain and swelling on postoperative days 1, 3, and 7. * Return for follow-up examinations at 1 week (for suture removal) and at 6 months for definitive clinical evaluations, as well as follow-up multi-planar CBCT imaging to evaluate both periapical bone healing and surgical accuracy via superimposition with the baseline preoperative plan.

PMCF Study of Debridement Pad

The design of the study is a clinical trial of Debridement Pad in subjects with superficial, chronic and acute wounds consisting of Diabetic ulcers, Arterial and Venous Leg ulcers, Pressure ulcers, Postoperative wounds healing by secondary intention, traumatic or surgical wounds and burns and scalds. The performance data from this study will support clinically meaningful rates of successful improvement in wound bed condition immediately after treatment.

Salivary α-Amylase as a Non-Invasive Biomarker of PRF-Enhanced Wound Healing After Third Molar Surgery

This randomized clinical study evaluated salivary α-amylase as a non-invasive biomarker of early wound healing after mandibular third molar surgery. The study compared patients who received platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in the extraction socket with patients who received standard surgical treatment without PRF. PRF is a material prepared from the patient's own blood and is used to support tissue healing after surgery. Salivary α-amylase is an enzyme found in saliva that may reflect postoperative stress, inflammation, or healing responses. In this study, saliva samples were collected on postoperative days 0, 3, and 7 to measure α-amylase activity. The study included adult patients aged 18 to 60 years who underwent impacted mandibular third molar surgery at the Dental Hospital of Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia. The main purpose was to determine whether PRF placement changes salivary α-amylase activity compared with no PRF during the first postoperative week.
