PRECISION-E2: Teverelix in Women With Endometriosis - Pharmacodynamics, Safety and Precision Medicine Correlates

PRECISION-E2 is a Phase IIa randomized, placebo-controlled study evaluating the pharmacodynamic profile, safety and tolerability of teverelix in premenopausal women with moderate-to-severe pain associated with endometriosis in the United Arab Emirates. The study will characterize the magnitude and duration of estradiol suppression following a single administration of teverelix and evaluate dose and route of administration, including subcutaneous and intramuscular administration, to inform subsequent clinical development. The study also incorporates a prospective precision medicine component designed to explore associations between genomic variation and pharmacodynamic and clinical response to teverelix. In participants enrolled in the Emirati Genome Program, genomic data will be integrated with hormonal, pharmacokinetic and clinical outcomes to investigate potential biological determinants of treatment response.

The Influence of Plan B® on Cardiovascular Health.

The goal of this double-blind randomized controlled trial is to learn about the impacts of a single dose of Plan B® on the cardiovascular system in young, health, premenopausal females. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. What is the short-term affect of Plan B® affect on the venous system? 2. What is the short-term affect of Plan B® affect on the health of arteries? Researchers will compare a single dose of Plan B® (1.5 mg of levonorgestrel) to a placebo to see if Plan B® has unique effects on the cardiovascular system. Participants will: 1. Undergo baseline measurements of venous thrombosis markers, blood pressure, and measures of arterial function using ultrasound. 2. Be randomized to either take a Plan B® or placebo pill 3. Repeat baseline measurements of venous thrombosis markers, blood pressure, and measures of arterial function using ultrasound each hour, for 6-hours, and then 24- and 48- hours after taking the Plan B® or placebo pill.

Oxytocin in Postmenopausal Women

The aim of the present study is to assess whether cumulative endogenous neurophysin I secretion over one month differs between premenopausal and postmenopausal women. Using repeated measurements of neurophysin-I (NP-I, equimolar surrogate marker of oxytocin) across defined physiological time points, this study investigates oxytocin system regulation under cyclic and non-cyclic hormonal conditions. The primary hypothesis is that cumulative NP-I release, expressed as the area under the curve (AUC) is lower in the postmenopausal group compared to the premenopausal group.

Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Agonists Benefit in Preserving the Ovarian Function in Premenopausal Breast Cancer Patients During Chemotherapy

The purpose of this study is to investigate the benefits of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist administration during chemotherapy on preserving ovarian function and Fertility in Premenopausal breast cancer patients, as assessed by anti-mullerian hormone levels, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and estradiol (E2) levels.

Comprehensive Lifestyle Change To Prevent Breast Cancer

This trial studies how well comprehensive lifestyle change works in preventing patients from breast cancer. A program including dietary recommendations, physical activity, stress management and mindfulness training, learning sleep hygiene techniques, and behavioral counseling in addition to social support may help patients who may be at risk for breast cancer.

Surgery in Preventing Ovarian Cancer in Patients With Genetic Mutations

This phase II trial studies how well surgery works in preventing ovarian cancer in patients with genetic mutations at risk of ovarian cancer. Risk reducing salpingo oophorectomy (RRSO) is surgery to remove the fallopian tubes and ovaries at the same time. Interval salpingectomy with delayed oophorectomy (ISDO) is surgery to remove the fallopian tubes. It is not known whether ISDO works better than RRSO at lowering risk of ovarian cancer and improving the sexual function and psychosocial well-being in patients with genetic mutation.

Progesterone and Muscle Protein Synthesis in Premenopausal Women (MP4-MPS)

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if micronized progesterone (PROMETRIUM®) influences the muscle-building response to resistance exercise in healthy premenopausal women aged 18-30 years. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does progesterone change the rate of muscle protein synthesis after exercise? 2. Does progesterone alter the difference in synthesis between an exercised leg and a rested leg? Researchers will compare micronized progesterone to a placebo to see if progesterone changes the way skeletal muscle adapts to resistance exercise. Participants will: * Take two oral doses of progesterone (400 mg total, 34 and 10 hours before testing) or placebo * Complete a unilateral leg extension exercise session in the lab * Receive an infusion of a stable isotope tracer and provide blood samples * Undergo muscle biopsies from the exercised and rested legs
