A Climate Change Education Program for 7th and 8th Grade Students in Istanbul Schools: Does It Improve Climate Knowledge and Health-Protective Behaviors?

Climate is the usual weather pattern of a place over a long time. Climate change means long-term shifts in climate, caused by natural processes and, above all, by human activity. Since the Industrial Revolution, factories and production have released more greenhouse gases into the air, and the planet has become warmer. These changes are a risk to public health. They harm some groups more than others: children, older adults, people with long-term illnesses, and people with fewer resources. This makes health inequalities worse, so fighting climate change is a public health issue as well as an environmental one. Young people today are more aware of climate change, which is a good chance to strengthen programs that protect and improve health. The few studies available show that climate change education for teenagers is mostly given in 7th and 8th grade. However, we do not know enough about whether this education changes behavior or improves health. This study aims to find out how a climate change education program affects teenagers' climate literacy (their understanding of climate change) and their health-protective behaviors. The study is quasi-experimental, with a control group and tests before and after the program. It will take place in two middle schools in Üsküdar, Istanbul, from September 2026 to January 2027. Participants will be 7th and 8th grade students from these schools. The sample size was calculated with the G\*Power 3.1.9.4 program. Allowing for dropouts, we plan to include 154 teenagers: 77 in the education group and 77 in the control group. Data will be collected with three tools: a Descriptive Information Form, the Climate Literacy Scale, and the Climate Change Health-Protective Behaviors Scale - Adolescent.

Teaching Caring Through '1 Concept-1 Minute

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a gamified learning strategy called "1 Concept-1 Minute" on nursing students' understanding of care concepts and their learning motivation. Conducted within the context of a Health Assessment course in a nursing education program, this quasi-experimental research investigates whether game-based learning methods enhance students' cognitive engagement and comprehension in clinical education. Given the global need for competent nursing professionals and the limitations in clinical placements, innovative, student-centered approaches such as this game are crucial to improving learning outcomes. The study is based on the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) framework to interpret motivational impacts.

Multilayer Inelastic Bandage Training in Physiotherapy Students

The goal of this quasiexperimental study is to evaluate the effects of structured training on inelastic compression bandaging proficiency in fourth-year physiotherapy students. The main questions it aims to answer are: Can supervised training significantly improve primary outcomes such as technical bandaging skills (measured by a standardized rubric)? Does structured education enhance secondary outcomes, including interface pressure accuracy, application time, and student self-confidence? Researchers will compare a Supervised Education Group receiving real-time biofeedback to a Control Group receiving an instructional brochure to see if expert-led training is more effective than passive learning in bridging the gap between perceived and actual clinical competence. Participants will: Perform a baseline bandaging application (T0) assessed via a two-station Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE). Be assigned to either the supervised training session (with Kikuhime pressure sensors for feedback) or the brochure-based self-study group. Complete a post-intervention assessment (T1) to measure improvements in technical skill, pressure precision, and self-confidence levels.

Impact of Artificial Intelligence Discussion on Midwifery Students

This study aimed to examine the effect of artificial intelligence-assisted case discussions on midwifery students' use and proficiency of artificial intelligence technologies and their clinical competency levels. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, its integration into healthcare education has become increasingly important. Supporting case-based learning with AI tools may enhance students' clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Therefore, this study evaluates the contribution of AI-assisted educational approaches to the professional development of midwifery students.

Effectiveness of Menstruation Education to Secondary School Students

Supporting adolescents with education about the menstruation process is important in terms of managing the process physically and mentally healthy and gaining lifelong positive health behaviors. Various narrative techniques including visuals, slides and animations are utilized in menstruation education for adolescents. Within the scope of these narrative techniques, technological tools are frequently used for learning purposes in adolescence. In technology-supported education, training that includes visual materials such as animations and multimedia software is very important. Presentations supported by various visuals and texts can be effective in trainings on mentoring. Presentations can appeal to students' visual senses and attract their attention. Animation is one of the technology-based applications that are frequently used in the education of adolescents and support education. The presentation can be animated or non-animated.
