DECT for Differentiating Intracerebral Hemorrhage From Contrast Extravasation

The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate the use of DECT (Dual-Energy Computed Tomography) in patients with acute ischemic stroke who receive an intervention (thrombolysis or thrombectomy). The main questions to answer are: 1. Can DECT more accurately differentiate hyperdensities as intracranial haemorrhage (ICH) or contrast extravasation compared with single-energy CT (SECT)?. 2. Will DECT lead to better care for patients with AIS who receive intervention and have post-procedural hyperdensities? Patients who receive intervention for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) receive a SECT at 24 hours as standard of care to determine if ICH is present. In the current study, a DECT will be done in addition to the SECT. Followup imaging (SECT or MRI) will be done at 72 hours to determine if the hyperdensity was indeed ICH. The accuracy of DECT for differentiating ICH from contrast extravasation will be compared.

Prospective Registry of Patients Undergoing Cardiac CT With NAEOTOM Alpha PCD-CT Before TAVI Procedure

The clinical and demographic characteristics of patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) pose unique challenges for coronary computed tomography (CT) imaging, as this patient population is mainly composed of elderly, frail individuals with severe aortic stenosis, multiple comorbidities, high prevalence of heavily calcified coronary artery disease (CAD) and revascularized coronary arteries. Such vulnerable patients could benefit from a more precise assessment and characterization of their CAD with ultra-high resolution (UHR) photon-counting detector (PCD) CT that would potentially avoid the need for pre-implantation invasive coronary angiography (ICA). This international multicenter prospective registry study aims to investigate the feasibility and diagnostic accuracy of PCD-CT in the assessment of CAD in the high-risk population of patients undergoing TAVI, as compared to ICA.

Retrospective Analysis of Clinical and CT Features to Predict Spread Through Air Space in Stage IA Lung Adenocarcinoma

The purpose of this study is to provide a basis for the selection of surgical methods for patients with stage IA lung adenocarcinoma. Air cavity dissemination is a poor prognostic factor for patients with stage IA lung adenocarcinoma. We retrospectively collected clinical and imaging data of stage IA lung adenocarcinoma patients. Independent risk factors associated with spread through air space in stage IA lung adenocarcinoma patients were analyzed, so as to predict the occurrence of spread through air space and provide basis for the selection of surgical methods
