The Validity and Reliability of an Improved Paper Grasping Test for Stroke

The study included volunteer patients diagnosed with stroke who applied to the Neurology Outpatient Clinic at SANKO University Sani Konukoğlu Application and Research Hospital. Patients who met the inclusion criteria were evaluated by Dr Hakan Polat and Physiotherapist Fatma Yılmaz in the application laboratory of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health Sciences, SANKO University. The assessment form prepared by the researchers will be completed face-to-face with the patients. First, the individuals' demographic information and disease information (how many years ago they were diagnosed with stroke, affected side, affected limb, etc.) will be recorded. The mini best test will be used to assess balance and gait. The muscle strength of the plantar flexor muscle groups in the ankle will be assessed using a manual muscle testing device. As fall problems in patients may be related to balance problems, lower limb muscle weakness, particularly in the ankle, and reduced quality of life, these parameters will also be evaluated. Therefore, in our study, while examining the validity and reliability of the modified paper grip test in individuals with stroke, its correlation with these parameters will also be examined. Before the tests are administered, the individuals will be given a practical explanation of how the tests are performed. The individuals will be allowed to rest before the assessments. In the tests, the paper grip test will first be administered by Dr Hakan Polat, followed by the mini best test, the assessment of the strength of the ankle plantar and dorsiflexor muscles. One week after the applications, only the paper grip test will be re-administered by Fzt. Fatma Yılmaz in the same environment. The individuals in this study will be assessed in the same environment in both sessions. In this way, the effect of environmental factors on the patients' performance will be minimised.

Validity and Reliability of the Six-Minute Pegboard Ring Test in Individuals With Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's patients who volunteer to participate in the study will be included. Parkinson's patients participating in the study will be referred from the SANKO University Hospital Neurology Outpatient Clinic. The assessments of patients referred from the Neurology Outpatient Clinic will be conducted at the SANKO University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department Research Laboratory. The socio-demographic information of the included patients will be collected. Patients will then be grouped using the Hoehn-Yahr Staging Scale. Vital signs such as blood pressure, saturation, and pulse will be measured. Upper extremity muscle strength will be assessed using a dynamometer. Upper extremity performance will be assessed using the Nine-Hole Peg Test. The patient's fatigue will be assessed using the Fatigue Severity Scale, and upper extremity disability will be assessed using the Disability of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) questionnaire. The assessments will be conducted by Physiotherapist Rüveyda GÜRDAL.Except for the six-minute pegboard ring test, the other tests will evaluate the parameters required for an individual's upper extremity function. These parameters are balance, muscle strength, and fine motor skills. The six-minute pegboard ring test will be reassessed one week later by a different physiotherapist at the SANKO University Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Research Laboratory.

Monitor Orthopaedic Footwear Questionnaire (MOS) Validity and Reliability Study

The aim of the study is to adapt the MOS questionnaire into Turkish and to investigate the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. In this study, Monitor Orthopaedic Shoes Questionnaire (MOS) will be translated into Turkish and named as MOS-T. The research is a methodological study conducted to determine the validity and reliability of the Turkish adaptation of the MOS. For this purpose, the questionnaire will be translated into Turkish, cultural adaptation of the Turkish version will be made, and its validity and reliability will be tested. In accordance with the validity and reliability research, MOS will be reapplied to the participants after 8 weeks to evaluate the test-retest reliability. Inclusion Criteria * Wearing orthopaedic shoes for the first time, * 16 years of age or older, * Native language is Turkish and at least literacy level, * Able to complete the questionnaire without assistance with cognitive or physical impairments, * Who volunteered to participate in the study
