Real-World Validation of A Minimally Disruptive Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) Huawei Smartwatch in Malaysia
Background: Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is the gold standard for diagnosing high blood pressure (hypertension) because it tracks blood pressure continuously across day and night. However, standard ABPM requires a cuff that inflates every 15 to 30 minutes during the day and every 30 to 60 minutes at night. These frequent inflations often cause discomfort, interrupt sleep, and cause patients to abandon testing. Purpose: This study aims to evaluate whether a new cuff-based Huawei smartwatch can provide a less-disturbing ABPM experience. Researchers will test whether a reduced-frequency measurement schedule (e.g., 7 readings: 4 awake, 3 asleep) can provide the same diagnostic accuracy as a conventional, full 24-hour ABPM protocol (typically 48 readings) while improving patient comfort. Study Design \& Procedures: Study Population: Approximately 500 adult participants will be recruited over a 24-month study period, with a targeted subgroup of 50 participants selected for clinical validation. The subgroup will represent normotensive, pre-hypertensive, and hypertensive individuals across diverse age groups and ethnicities. Monitoring \& Comparison: Participants in the validation group will undergo standard 24-hour ABPM at an accredited clinical facility alongside monitoring with the Huawei smartwatch. Data from the smartwatch will be used to compare a reduced-frequency reading schedule against full 24-hour ABPM recordings. User Feedback: Participants will complete questionnaires assessing comfort, sleep quality, ease of use, and overall preference between the smartwatch and standard ABPM cuffs. Goal: The main goal is to determine if a reduced-frequency wearable monitoring protocol can maintain clinical diagnostic accuracy for blood pressure and sleep-dipping patterns while significantly reducing patient burden and sleep disruption.

Genistein for the Reduction of Adverse Cardiovascular Events (GRACE)
People living with HIV (PLHIV) live longer because of modern HIV medicines, but even with these treatments, their bodies are more inflamed. Long term inflammation increases the risk of heart disease, chronic pain, lung disease, dementia, arthritis, and other infections. Because some anti-inflammatory medicines can cause serious side effects, interact with HIV drugs, or be costly, safer and more affordable treatment options are needed. Genistein is a natural compound found in soy foods. It is considered safe and has been shown to reduce inflammation and improve blood vessel health. This study will test whether genistein can lower inflammation in the blood, improve blood vessel health, and reduce pain in PLHIV.

Long-term Characterization of GORE® TAG® Conformable Thoracic Stent Graft With ACTIVE CONTROL System Performance
An observational, prospective multi-regional post-market registry collecting mid- and long-term data to assess outcomes through ten years of follow-up for subjects treated with GORE® TAG® Conformable Thoracic Stent Graft with ACTIVE CONTROL System as a part of routine clinical practice. This post-market registry for the GORE® TAG® Conformable Thoracic Stent Graft with ACTIVE CONTROL System (CTAG w/AC) is intended to demonstrate that thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) for lesions of the descending thoracic aorta continues to be a suitable treatment option for appropriately selected patients.

MIRACLE-T2D Montelukast Intervention for Renal, Cardiovascular and Eye Health in Type 2 Diabetes
Diabetes mellitus type 2 is associated with significant morbidity and mortality; and identifying new treatments for diabetes complications to be used alone or in combination with other therapies is a high priority. Hyperglycemia triggers proinflammatory pathways leading to damage in the kidneys, eyes and blood vessels; thus targeting proinflammatory lipid mediators called leukotrienes may represent a promising therapy for diabetes complications. This clinical trial seeks to investigate whether montelukast, a leukotriene antagonist, improves kidney, eye and vascular function in adult participants with type 2 diabetes and kidney disease.

Biomarkers and Event Patterns of Vascular Disease in Hemodialysis
Parathyroid hormone (PTH) remains the central biomarker to classify CKD-metabolic bone disease (CKD-MBD) in hemodialysis patients. While PTH-values are known to be associated with adverse outcomes, interventional studies have failed to show a benefit of pharmacological modulation of PTH levels on hard clinical outcomes. To address this gap, the investigators explored alternative markers of bone metabolism, vascular calcification and inflammation in association to prospective event patterns.
