A Clinical Study of MK-2870 Alone or With Other Treatments to Treat Gastrointestinal Cancers (MK-9999-02A)

Researchers want to learn if sacituzumab tirumotecan (MK-2870) alone or with other treatments can treat certain gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. The GI cancers being studied are either advanced (the cancer has spread to other parts of the body), or unresectable (the cancer cannot be removed with surgery). The goals of this study are to learn: * About the safety of sacituzumab tirumotecan alone or with other treatments and if people tolerate it * How many people have the cancer respond (get smaller or go away) to treatment

Trifluridine/Tipiracil + Oxaliplatin in Participants With Advanced or Metastatic Biliary Tract Cancer

Participants are eligible for this study who were treated for advanced biliary tract cancer (BTC) but the treatment either did not make the cancer better or is no longer working. The treatment for patients whose advanced BTC either did not make the cancer better or is no longer working is a combination of chemotherapy drugs called FOLFOX which consists of fluorouracil and oxaliplatin. Studies have shown that other treatments may work better to treat advanced BTC. In this study, investigators want to see if treating patients with the drug combination of trifluridine/tipiracil (FTD/TPI) and another drug called oxaliplatin works better than FOLFOX for advanced BTC as second-line therapy. FTD/TPI are pills that are taken by mouth, whereas oxaliplatin is given intravenously (by IV).

Blood Flow Restriction Exercise in Patients With Pancreatic, Biliary Tract, and Liver Cancer (PREV-Ex)

In patients with cancer, resistance training appears to be a safe and effective exercise modality to increase both lean muscle mass and strength, as well as attenuates cancer-related fatigue. It may serve as a feasible intervention in these patients to mitigate cachexia, especially if implemented before the onset of cancer cachexia or in a pre-cachectic state. This study is a multicenter randomized controlled trial that will compare a blood flow restricted resistance training intervention during the pre- (prehabilitation) and post-operative (rehabilitation) phase in patients with pancreatic, biliary tract and liver cancer, versus usual care on skeletal muscle and other health-related outcomes.

Longitudinal Geriatric Vulnerability, Chemotherapy Toxicity, and Functional Outcomes in Older Adults With Gastrointestinal Cancer

Older adults with gastrointestinal cancers may be more likely to experience side effects from chemotherapy and difficulties with everyday activities. These problems are not always explained by age alone. Changes in nutrition, physical strength, general health, and independence may also affect how well a person tolerates cancer treatment. The purpose of the VITAL-GI study is to better understand how health-related vulnerability in older adults is associated with chemotherapy side effects and changes in daily functioning over time. This is an observational study involving adults aged 65 years or older with gastrointestinal cancer that has not spread to distant parts of the body. Participants receive chemotherapy as part of their usual medical care, either before or after surgery, according to their treatment plan. The study does not assign chemotherapy treatments or change routine care. Researchers use questionnaires and clinical information to assess general health, nutrition, physical abilities, independence, and the risk of chemotherapy side effects. Assessments are performed when chemotherapy begins and approximately 3 and 6 months later. The study examines whether initial health assessments can help identify people who are more likely to experience serious chemotherapy side effects. It also examines how health, daily activities, symptoms, and quality of life change during treatment. The findings may help researchers better understand the supportive care needs of older adults receiving chemotherapy for gastrointestinal cancer.

A Study to Assess Adverse Events, Change in Disease Activity and How Intravenous ABBV-253 Moves Through the Body in Adult Participants With Advanced Solid Tumors

Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events, change in disease activity and pharmacokinetics of ABBV-253. ABBV-253 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. This open-label study consists of two parts. In Part 1 (ABBV-253 dose escalation), participants with any of the eligible cancer types will receive 1 of 4 (or more) doses of ABBV-253. Each cohort receives a higher dose, lower dose, or the same dose of ABBV-253 than the previous group. In Part 2 (ABBV-253 dose optimization), a new group of participants with NSCLC will be randomly put into pre-determined dose groups to receive 1 of 3 doses of ABBV-253. Approximately 130 participants will be enrolled in the study at approximately 11 sites worldwide. Participants will receive intravenous (IV) infusion of ABBV-253, as part of the 4 year study. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care due to study procedures. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effects of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
