Diagnostic Value of Oropharyngeal Suction and Effect of Respiratory Physiotherapy on the Detection of Microorganisms in the Pediatric Patient

The goal of this clinical trial is to determine the effectiveness of oropharyngeal suction in detecting microorganisms by comparing it with induced sputum and oropharyngeal swab samples. It also aims to assess the effect of respiratory physiotherapy on improving the results obtained in children aged 5-18 years with chronic lung disease. The main questions it aims to answer are: * What is the diagnostic efficacy of oropharyngeal suction in detecting microorganisms compared with induced sputum? * What is the effect of undergoing a physiotherapy session before sample collection? * How do the results obtained from oropharyngeal suction correlate with those obtained from oropharyngeal swabs? * How does the age of the participants affect the results obtained from each sampling technique and the effect of prior physiotherapy? * Are these techniques safe? Researchers will compare samples collected after a physiotherapy session with those collected without prior physiotherapy to determine whether physiotherapy improves culture results. Participants will be randomized into two groups: one group will undergo a physiotherapy session before sample collection, while the other will not. Three samples will be collected from each participant using oropharyngeal suction, an oropharyngeal swab, and induced sputum. Each participant may take part on multiple occasions, provided that at least one month has elapsed since their previous participation. On each occasion, participants will be randomized again.

High-Intensity Interval Exercise in Bronchiectasis Patients

The aim of our study is to investigate the effect of high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE) on the symptoms of bronchiectasis in patients with the disease. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does HIIE improve respiratory function in patients with bronchiectasis? 2. Does HIIE increase functional capacity, peripheral muscle strength, and quality of life in patients with bronchiectasis? 3. Does HIIE reduce the severity of dyspnea, cough symptoms, and fatigue in patients with bronchiectasis? The study was designed as a randomized controlled trial. Participants were divided into two groups: intervention and control. Participants will: The intervention group will receive HIIE training three days a week along with airway clearance techniques. The control group would receive only airway clearance techniques. Airway clearance techniques will be provided clinically (three days a week) and at home, according to the needs of the individuals each day of the week.

Long-Term Safety and Efficacy of Moxifloxacin in Bronchiectasis Patients

Bronchiectasis is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by recurrent infections, inflammation, and progressive lung damage. Frequent exacerbations are associated with increased morbidity, accelerated lung function decline, and reduced quality of life. Preventing exacerbations is a key therapeutic goal. Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity, may play a role in intermittent eradication therapy to reduce bacterial load, achieve microbiological clearance, and minimize exacerbation frequency. This randomized controlled trial will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of long-term intermittent moxifloxacin therapy compared with standard care in patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis.
