Testing the Addition of the Anti-Cancer Drug Tivozanib to Immunotherapy (Pembrolizumab) After Surgery to Remove All Known Sites of Kidney Cancer
This phase III trial compares the effect of adding tivozanib to standard therapy pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab alone for the treatment of patients with high-risk renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Tivozanib is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals tumor cells to multiply. This helps stop the spread of tumor cells. Giving pembrolizumab and tivozanib together may work better than pembrolizumab alone in treating patients with RCC.

Prospective Study of Cadonilimab With Lenvatinib in Renal Cell Carcinoma
This is a prospective, open, multi-cohort phase II study The study included a screening period (participants signed informed consent no more than 28 days before the first treatment in the study), a treatment period (treatment termination was defined as termination of treatment for any reason, such as imaging confirmation of disease progression, failure to tolerate adverse effects after dose adjustment, or early withdrawal for any reason), and a follow-up period (including end-of-treatment visits, safety visits, and survival follow-up). Screening period: Participants are required to undergo a screening period within 28 days prior to the study's first treatment to determine eligibility. Duration of treatment: Patients were treated with Cadonilimab in combination with lenvatinib until disease progression or intolerable toxicity developed. Every 3 weeks was a dosing cycle, and every 6 weeks was a treatment assessment. Follow-up period: The safety follow-up period began after the last study treatment, and was followed up once on the 30th day (±7 days). Subjects should go to the research center for the examination of vital signs, physical examination, laboratory examination and other protocol requirements, and evaluate AE, concomitant medication and concomitant treatment. After the end of the safety follow-up period, the subjects entered the 1-year survival follow-up period, which was conducted every 3 months. They could be visited by telephone follow-up and other effective ways to collect survival information and follow-up treatment information. Survival follow-up lasted until death, loss of follow-up, withdrawal

Immunotherapy With Nivolumab and Ipilimumab Followed by Nivolumab or Nivolumab With Cabozantinib for Patients With Advanced Kidney Cancer, The PDIGREE Study
This phase III trial compares the usual treatment (treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab followed by nivolumab alone) to treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab, followed by nivolumab with cabozantinib in patients with untreated renal cell carcinoma that has spread to other parts of the body. The addition of cabozantinib to the usual treatment may make it work better. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Cabozantinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known how well the combination of cabozantinib and nivolumab after initial treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab works in treating patients with renal cell cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.

Testing the Safety and Feasibility of Immunotherapy Drugs, Botensilimab and Balstilimab, Before Surgery for Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma, NEO RoBOT Trial
This phase II trial tests the effect of botensilimab and balstilimab before surgery (neoadjuvant) in treating patients with high-risk clear cell renal cell cancer that has not spread from where it first started to other areas of the body (non-metastatic). The current standard treatment for patients with non-metastatic clear cell renal cell cancer may include surgery to completely remove the tumor. This typically involves removing the kidney or part of the kidney (nephrectomy). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as botensilimab and balstilimab, may help the body's immune system attack the tumor, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving neoadjuvant botensilimab and balstilimab may be safe, tolerable, and/or effective in treating patients with high-risk non-metastatic clear cell renal cell cancer before undergoing a nephrectomy.

Adding a Live Biotherapeutic Product (CBM588) to Pembrolizumab for the Treatment of Renal Cell Cancer After Surgery
This phase II trial compares the effect of adding a Live Biotherapeutic Product called CBM588 to pembrolizumab versus pembrolizumab alone in preventing return of disease (recurrence) after surgery for patients with renal cell cancer. Pembrolizumab is an immune checkpoint inhibitor. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies such as pembrolizumab may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Pembrolizumab is approved for the treatment of renal cell cancer after surgery. Research has shown that changes to the composition of the healthy bacteria in the body (the microbiome), may improve a patient's response to treatment with immunotherapy. CBM588, a Live Biotherapeutic Product (LBP) containing a bacteria called Clostridium butyricum, has been shown to improve outcomes in patients treated with immunotherapy for other types of cancer. Adding CBM588 to treatment with pembrolizumab after surgery may cause changes in the microbiome that improve patient response to treatment and reduce disease recurrence, compared to pembrolizumab alone.

CAIX-targeted PET/CT in Solid Tumors
Tumor hypoxic microenvironment plays an important role in the initiation and progression of solid tumors, as well as tumor invasion, metastasis, and treatment resistance. Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX), as a crucial downstream molecule regulated by hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), is highly expressed in various solid tumors and is closely associated with tumor invasiveness, treatment response, and prognosis; thus, it represents an ideal target for tumor diagnosis and therapy. This study aims to explore the diagnostic value of CAIX-targeted PET/CT imaging in various solid tumors, as well as the correlation between tumor uptake and tissue CAIX expression.

A Study of CA9-Targeted CAR Macrophage Therapy in Advanced Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma
Clear cell renal cell carcinoma is the most common type of kidney cancer. Although new treatments such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and targeted therapies have improved outcomes for many patients, some patients with advanced disease may still experience disease progression and require new treatment approaches. This study evaluates the safety, feasibility, and preliminary effectiveness of a novel cell therapy called CA9-targeted chimeric antigen receptor macrophage (CAR-M) therapy in patients with unresectable or metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma. CA9 is a protein that is highly expressed on many clear cell renal cell carcinoma cells and can be recognized by CAR-M cells. In this study, patients will receive a local injection of CM-BA-9, a CA9-targeted CAR-M cell product, into selected tumor lesions. The study will primarily assess treatment safety and tolerability, while also exploring whether this therapy can control tumor growth. The information collected in this study may help researchers better understand the potential role of CAR-M therapy in the treatment of advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma.

Nivolumab and Ipilimumab With and Without Camu Camu for the Treatment of Patients With Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of camu camu when used in combination with nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body. A monoclonal antibody is a type of protein that can bind to certain targets in the body, such as molecules that cause the body to make an immune response (antigens). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Camu camu is a prebiotic that may have a beneficial effect on the immune system. Giving camu camu in combination with nivolumab and ipilimumab may kill more tumor cells than nivolumab and ipilimumab alone in patients with metastatic kidney cancer.
